Uber is taking further step to ramp up the safety of women Passengers in India. The ride king “Uber” has announced on Friday, Uber with Delhi Himmat App to sure the safety of women in India. Uber app and Himmat will be start integration soon.
This is the first time when Delhi police Himmat app start a mission to make sure for women safety in India. Delhi police launched “Himmat app” in 2015 and present day they got more than 31,000 registration user with 90,000 download from both play stores (Google Play & ITunes). now Uber with Delhi Himmat App
Uber said, after integration with Himmat App. User will able to make call in event of emergency. When button pressed phone camera will active for 30 seconds for audio and video recording that clip will send to authorize person. Delhi police start with Delhi first for now, but company announced this partnership for women safety will extend to all over India for their 30,000 daily cab’s users. This feature will available in app once you update.
Shweta Rajpal Kohli, Head – Public Policy, Uber India & South Asia, said in a press statement.
“The safety of passengers has been a concerning issue for women in both Ola and Uber cab services. The companies should have introduced several features and options – including a panic button in some cars – to strengthen their safety,,
