UBER POOL AND OLA SHARE may ban by Delhi Government

The service of Taxi sharing  in which app based cabs  offer  the ride-sharing option to customers in the delhi   might be face ban soon. According to transport department of delhi government “it’s legally not permitted”. So they are working on a draft to ban these types of services.

We all knows these kinds of services are cheaper and cost effective they also reduces number of cars on road which shows decrement in the air pollution also but still government wants to ban this services according to a government official he said

“In principle, we are in favour of cab sharing as it not only provides affordable commuting option to passengers but also reduces the number of vehicles on roads. However, such operations don’t come under the present legal framework as taxis are only allowed to be hired from one point to another and cannot pick and drop passengers,”

He also said “We plan to regulate operations of app-based cab services. Though a number of features of the scheme are yet to be finalised, cab sharing option would definitely have to go as it is legally not permitted,”

Now government is now almost ready to implement new  Draft on App based Taxi services . According to Officials, however, are tight-lipped about the exact content of the draft scheme. Mandatory installation of GPS and panic buttons also find mention in the scheme. The transport department has formulated penalties for violations of norms, which would be laid down, sources said.
