The Search Engine Giant Google Tez UPI Based Payment App Launched today in Asia especially in India. Google Tez app can be used to pay utility bills, book movie tickets,to pay on online shopping website ,send money from person to person, split bills and much more. As we all know Tez means Fast in Hindi so according to google this app will make all UPI based payments in very less time. Google launch this UPI based Tez app today in new Delhi.
One of the most attracting feature of this app is it will support various local languages including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. In Google Tez app google will link your bank account to the app, for this user have to confirm their ownership by sending a message by registered mobile number to Tez interface after verification you need to add UPI PIN, after doing these steps user can start making payments.
For the Backend of the App google partnered with HDFC bank, SBI and ICICI Bank. Initially you can pay on redbus for bus tickets, domino’s pizza, PVR cinemas, Jet Airways and Dish TV are launch partners of Google Tez App along with these Google also planning to introduce “Tez Scratch Cards”, and customers deals and vouchers through this feature to attract them.
Nowadays most of the apps are launching their UPI payment interface, recently real-time messaging service Hike also introduces UPI payment interface in their app, now Google Tez must be ready to face tough competition by WhatsApp, because WhatsApp is also ready to launch own UPI interface platform.
In terms of security Google says all the transactions on Google Tez app are guarded by something called Tez Shield to “detect fraud, prevent hacking, and verify identity. We built Tez to provide security throughout the payment process from customer to business and back.” One of the most important thing the company has done is introduce an additional PIN layout to protect any unauthorised usage. On iOS, the app supports Touch ID.
This is true google will make a different place in UPI payments platform but it’s being too late to launch this service because we already have lots of UPI based apps ,so it must be interesting to see how google will tackle with their rivals.
